Story of Polly Benson as related by Julia Bartholomew Ercanbrack, her granddaughter.

When Grandma was a girl and I don't know where they lived at this time, but in one of the eastern states, she had a dream, and in her dream she was washing on her back porch when she looked and saw out over the field , 2 men coming toward the house. A voice spoke to her in her dream and told her that they were bringing her a message and that she must accept it. This dream came true, she was on her porch when she saw in reality the 2 men coming across the field. She did accept the message, which was the true gospel. These 2 men were Mormon missionaries. Grandma's name was Polly Benson. She was the instigator of bringing the family into the Mormon Church. She afterwards married Joseph Bartholomew and settled in Fayette Sanpete Co. Utah.

Before her last child was born or while she was carrying him, she fell down the cellar steps and hurt her child and made him simple which defect he carried all through his life.
