BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Hundborg (and Jannerup) parish records (FHL 053064, p. 47a, #9. Only the christening date is given. One would expect this to have taken place in Hundborg church, since I Klitten (now Norre Vorupor, see Trap Danmark, 5th ed., 15.609) is in Hundborg parish; but Jannerup church is actually closer and the records were kept jointly.

35. Marie Christensdatter (C19)

BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Hundborg parish records (FHL 053064, p. 56a). Gives only date of christening in Hundborg church. Father appears as Christen Korsgaard. Since there was a Korsgaard in Hundborg parish (see Trap Danmark, 5th ed., 15.609), I assume that his name derives from the farm and that this is the place of birth.

36. Jeppe Pedersen (C20)

BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Gettrup parish records (FHL 053054, Bk. I, p. 164r). Name abbreviated (Jep.). VCK sheet gives birth date as 30 Dec; the date is for christening, however, and X3=13, not 30. Gad(e)gaard now lies in contiguous Helligso parish, but this is a Gettrup entry. Father is named (and bears the surname Gadgaard); mother is not. VCK sheet's "Kobberup" error for "Kobbero."
MARRIAGE(S): Gettrup parish records (ibid., Bk. 2, p. 284 top). Engaged 20 Mar 1777, married 18 Apr. Does not give ages or parents' names. Does give witnesses: Christen Madsen of Kobbero and Lars Larsen of Stausboll (Vestervig). VCK sheet lists a second marriage to Maren Larsen of Helligso. I have not been able to find this marriage; I speculate that since the patronym of Jeppe's first wife is spelled both LAURITZDATTER and LARSDATTER, someone has assumed that there were two different women.
DEATH/BURIAL: Gettrup parish records (FHL 053056, Bk. 7, p. 192, #7). Age 81.
ORDINANCES: VCK sheet shows "prob" by baptism date of 13 Nov.

40. Christen (C24)

Information only inferred from entry on wife and son in 1787 Census; FHL 039008; Bk. 57; Hvidbjerg v.Aa parish, Kjallerup family #4. Wife Karen Olesdatter had, by then married a Christen Jensen, who is listed as her son Christen Christensen's step father in the 1787 Census. The son's patronym
supplies this Christen's given name.

NAME: Named Inger Nielsdatter in christening records of children 3 and 4, and Inger Mejelsoe in that for child 2.

44. Jens Madsen Hvid (C28)

BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Orum parish reg.; FHL 053079; Bk. 2; p. 9(1st)r. Damaged; of the date, only "..r [efter?] Jule" (after Christmas) is legible. I have maintained the 27 Dec date of the TR book, but cannot verify it more exactly than after Christmas in 1724. Since 26 Dec is St. Stephen's Day and 27 Dec St. John the Evangelist's---and liturgical dates are prefered when applicable---, it seems likely that "_ after Christmas" would refer to 28-30 Dec.
MARRIAGE: Orum parish reg.; FHL 053079; Bk. 2; p. 44v. 2 Nov: Jens Madsen and Johanne Andersdatter, ibid (=Orum church). Note that the previous listing (1 Jul) is for a Jens Madsen and Mette Nielsdatter. This is the entry chosen by mistake in the TR book (below). That Johanne Andersdatter is the correct wife is clear from her probate, 10 Mar 1778 (Vestervig Kloster Gods), where
she is listed as Jens Hvid's wife; FHL 041909; item 6; p. 185b. On Mette Nielsdatter, see HER husband Jens Madsen SKRAEDER's probate, 21 Nov 1785; ibid.; p. 264v.
DEATH/BURIAL: Orum parish reg.; FHL 053079; Bk. 3; p. 38a. Cause: old age. The day of death in March is lost; date of burial is 4 Apr.
ORDINANCES: B, E and SP, TR book of Else K. Christensen (BYU Archive,Virginia Keeler Collection); p. 44; #61 (SP stamped). SS, INCORRECTLY to Mette Nielsdatter; ibid.; p. 44; #91. SS, to Johanne Andersdatter, temple ordinance card in possession of George S. Tate.

45. Johanne Andersdatter (C29)

BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Estimated date from marriage (1756) and 18 year period of childbearing. There are several competing Johanne Andersdatters in this parish, but only two birth entries: 1) in 1722 (d. 1753), 2) in 1731 (FHL 053079; Bk. 2; p. 10v. The year and place would be perfect, but that Johanne seems to be the one who died at Tolbol, Lodbjerg parish in 1800, and who had a child Ide in 1755 (d. 1762)--the name of her older sister (d. 1740). The 1731 birth is therefore unlikely to be our Johanne.
This is the entry chosen for her husband by mistake in the TR book (below).
DEATH/BURIAL: Orum parish reg.; FHL 053079; Bk. 2; p. 83v, line 8. Record faded: (2)7 (or 24?) Nov, Jens Hvid's wife, no age given. Johanne's probate, which identifies her husband and lists her children, is dated 10 Mar 1778 (Vestervig Kloster Gods); FHL 041909; item 6; p. 185b.

MARRIAGE: Hvidbjerg (Refs) parish reg.; FHL 053074; Bk. 1; p. 44r; #8 (1767). He is from Flovle(v), she from Styvel; their residence Flovlev.

DEATH/BURIAL: Hvidbjerg (Refs) parish reg.; FHL 053074; Bk. 1; p. 36v; col. 2; #35. Gives her age as 39 yrs, 2 mos, 11 days, which would calculate as 12 Oct 1740, rather than her birth entry's 6 Aug 1741. But the combination of her own probate (29 Jan 1780, Helligkildegaard gods), from which approximate date of death can be inferred, and her uncle Anders Hindsels' probate (2nd entry, 22 Dec 1778, Hindsels gods), in which she is listed with father and husband, shows that the birth and death entries here cited are correct, and that the age given in the death entry is not.
