Three Christensens have close connections in Flovlev: Anders Christensen Orum (C30), and Christen Christensen Gade and Mogens Christensen, both of whom appear as witnesses as Anders Christen Orum's daughter Else's christening in 1767 and in his first wife Else Jensdatter's probate as assessors.
Anders Orum also appears as witness at the christening of Christen Gade's son Christen in 1760, as does Else Christensdatter.

94. Christen Christensen Hindsels (C62)

BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Year estimated from date of marriage and from possible death entry (see below), which would give month as well.
MARRIAGES: 1) to Edel Nielsdatter, Hvidbjerg (Refs) parish reg.; FHL 053074; Bk. 1; p. 42r; col. 1. Liturgical date: 2nd Sunday after Easter (10 Apr)=24 Apr. Christen Hindsels and Edel Nielsdatter, residence Styvel. 2) to Mette Kirstine Andersdatter, Hvidbjerg (Refs) parish reg.; FHL 053074; Bk. 1; p. 43r; col. 2; #2.
DEATH/BURIAL: Death must fall between Jan 1759 (birth of Anders) and Dec 1778 (his brother Anders Hindsels' probate, see below). Death records during this period are partly damaged in the Hvidbjerg parish reg.; FHL 053074; Bk. 1. The only clear possibility is p. 33v, #8 (1760), "22nd July, Christen Christensen ... /age 57-3-2" What follows the name looks like "ved kirk[en]" ("at the church"). If correct this would place his birth in Apr 1703.
PROBATE: Christen's brother Anders Hindsels' probate (2nd entry, 22 Dec 1778, Hindsels gods) indicates that Christen is dead, but lists his children, along with their residences, spouse (in the case of Dorthe), and child (in the case of Niels). It does not name his wives or distinguish between children of first and second marriages. See FHL 041672; Bk. 1; p. 235v.
