189. Ollegaard Matthiasdatter Budde (C125)

BIRTH/CHRISTENING: Her name and some details appear on the burial floorstone for Anders Pedersen (her first husband), now set up in the side chapel of Hvidbjerg (Refs) church on Thyholm. It gives the year of her birth as 1666. Calculation from age at death (see below) gives 1665 or 1666. The Hvidbjerg (Refs) parish register does not begin until 1730.
MARRIAGES: 1) to Anders Pedersen; 2) to Christen Christensen. On both see Trap Danmark (1958); FHL book, Scand 948.9; E2t; vol. 15; p. 679 (article on Hindsels estate). Hindsels estate probates do not begin until 1742. I have not seen other possible property records on which the Trap article is based.
The date of her first marriage is calculated from her husband's Anders Pedersen's burial floorstone, now set up in the side chapel of Hvidbjerg church, which names her and indicates that they were married for 13 years at the time of his death in 1699.
See also the probate on son Anders (below), where all but order of husbands and their patronyms can be inferred. That she is correctly identified is also apparent from her appearance as witness at the christenings of daughter Maren's children in 1732 and 1735 (the year before her death) and from the fact that all children of both marriages who have daughters of their own give a daughter
the rare name Ollegaard (Else Andersdatter, Maren Christensdatter, and Christen Christensen Hindsels all do). See also her own naming of her second son after her father, Mathias (her first after her first husbands', Peder).
DEATH/BURIAL: Hvidbjerg parish reg.; FHL 053074; Bk. 1; p. 29v; col. 2; #9. Age 71.
PROBATE: The primary source on her and her family is son Anders Hindsels' probate (2nd entry, 22 Dec 1778, Hindsels gods); FHL 041672; Bk. 1; p. 235v. All children of both marriages appear in the probate.
ORDINANCES: B, E, SP (SS on husbands') temple ordinance cards in possession of George S. Tate.
