My family had been living in a two-room log house. Father and mother had three children and were expecting a fourth-me. A red-stone hoe was started in a nice location of our property facing the main Street of Fayette. Father rushed at top speed to finish the little rock home in time for my birth. Even though not entirely completed the little bedroom was finished in time for my arrival. September 8, 1876.
