My Creed

Aim as high as possible.  Demand everything of yourself and resolve to deliver the greatest measure possible every day. Believe in yourself, believe in humility, believe in the success of your undertakings.  Fear nothing and no one.  Love your work.  Work, hope, trust. Keep in touch with today.  Teach yourself to be practical and up-to-date and sensible.  You cannot fail.

 ***

 Life is too short to waste
In critic peep or cynic bark,
Quarrel or reprimand.
Twill soon be dark;
Up! mind thine own aim, as
God speed the mark.

Emerson

***

Silence is a great peacemaker

***

Gather roses while they blossom; tomorrow is not today.

***

Happiness is a by-product of self-forgetful service.

***

Patience is the noblest form of courage.

***

Opportunity, sooner or later comes to all who work and wish. -Lord Stanley

***

He who labors diligently need never despair; for all things are accomplished by diligence and labor.

***

Meander

An honest countenance is the best passport

Praise is sunshine, blame is the rainstorm that beats down and bedraggles even though at times necessary.

When thou wishest to delight thyself, think of the virtues of those with whom you live.

To have grown wise and kind is the real success.

***

Keeping Young

Youth continues as long as the individual is willing to accumulate new experiences or even to recombine old ones.
Nobody grows old by merely living a number of years.

People grow old by deserting their ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin; but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.
Worry, self-distrust, fear and despair---these are the long years that bow the heart and turn the greening spirit to dust.
You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubts;
as young as your confidence, as old as your fears;
as young as your hope, as old as your despair.
If we notice little pleasures
As we notice little pains;
If we quite forgot our losses
And remember all our gains;
If we looked for people’s virtues,
And their faults refused to see;
What a comfortable, happy,
Cheerful place this world would be.

***

'A Life without a purpose is a ship without a rudder.”

***

“Desire nothing that would bring disgrace.”

***

“Bravery never goes out of fashion.”  Thackery

***

“Faith is necessary to victory.”

***

“God loveth the clean.”
